Mike joined Rural Community Consultants, LLC, a subsidiary of JDE, after serving as a local government consultant for the State Rural Planning Group where he provided tools, technical assistance, and analysis on state and local issues. Previously, Mike was appointed by the Governor to be the Acting Executive Director for the Utah Department of Heritage and Arts after serving as Deputy Director where he successfully negotiated a comprehensive restructure of the department while building relationships with community partners. His experience also includes serving as the Director of the Strategy and Management Section for the Governor’s Office of Planning & Budget.
